Abstract
The HCN in air were tested by flow injection analysis. The results indicated that a good linearity was found in the range from 0. 000 mg / L to 0. 100 mg / L with a detection limit of 0. 36μg / L. The lowest detection concentration was 0. 00012 mg / m3 when sampling 30 liters of air. The relative standard deviation was 0. 7% ~ 2. 6%with the relative error of standard solution of 1. 8%. The relative deviation of the results obtained from flow injection analysis and isonicotinic acid- pyrazolone spectrophotometry was less than 8%. Therefore, the precision, accuracy and sensitivity of flow injection analysis were very high with low detection limit. Especially, this method is suitable to deal with the large quantities of samples.
