Abstract
TiB2-40Ni cermet composite powder was fabricated by mechanical alloying process,and TiB2-40Ni coating was prepared by means of high velocity oxygen fuel method.The microstructure of TiB2-40Ni particles and phase composition for different ball milling time were investigated,the porosity and microhardness of coating were also investigated.The results show that with the milling time prolonging,the size of TiB2.gradually decreases,and the content of TiB2 coated on binder phase Ni surface increases.The main phase components of TiB2-40Ni powder and coating are TiB2 and Ni,and the coating has dense microstructure and low porosity with average microhardness of(643.5±56.8)HV0.3.
