Abstract
This paper presented a kind of water level remote monitoring system based on GSM short messages to remote monitor the substations.The hardware of this system includes two parts.One part is the substation's remote monitoring motherboard.It mainly consists of the CPU,ICL7135 A/D conversion chip,LCD part and their peripheral circuit.Its main function is achieving the monitoring of analog or digital quantity,and showing the monitoring state in LCD timely.The other part of it is TC35I GSM module.It controls the GSM module send monitoring data to monitoring center regularly in the form of short message through AT commands,receives the control command from the monitoring center.It also has the function of message alarm in case of emergency.
