Clinical Study on Chronic Hepatitis C Treated with Yigan Yin

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the Yigan Yin in treating chronic hepatitis C.Methods:40 patients of chronic hepatitis C were randomly divided into the treated group(20 cases),control group(20 cases),treated with the Yigan Yin,Interferon alfa-2b combine ribavirin respectively,with six-months course,to observe the items of clinical symptoms,physical signs,hepatic function,hepatitis C virus RNA(HCV-RNA) and the serum fibrosis indexes.Result:The results showed that the total effective rate was 80% in the treatment group after treatment,and clinical effect was no significant with control group(P0.05);Pre-and post-treatment the indices of hepatic function were compared,the difference was significant in each group(P0.05),and was not significant between two groups(P0.05);The clearance rate of HCV-RNA of the treated group was 15%,and the clearance rate of HCV-RNA of the control group was 55%.The difference of two groups was obviously(P0.01);After treatment,HA of the treated group decreased remarkably.There was statistical significance between two groups on HA(P0.05).CⅣ of the control group reduced,however there was no difference in CⅣ of two groups(P0.05).Conclusion:To the patients of chronic hepatitis C,the Yigan Yin possess functions of protecting the hepatic cells,reducing enzymes and resisting hepatic fibrogenesis.The functions of suppressing viral replication,clearing virus of the interferon combine ribavirin therapy are better than the Yigan Yin therapy.
