Chinese Traditional Charity Culture and the Construction of Harmonious Society

As a stark contrast to the insufficient charities in modern China,the traditional charity culture in the Chinese history was very advanced.The traditional charity work in China has had a long history and such fine traditions as respecting the aged and taking good care of chidren,rescuing the desperately poor and helping those in need,and mutual help among one's neighbors have passed down.The late Ming Dynasty and the early Qing Dynasty experienced the flourishing charities.With the rapid social development in China,the traditional charites have transited to a new type.In order to speed up the construction of moral civilization and harmonious society,we should promote the Chinese traditional charity culture and do more charites.
