Seven Basic Issues in the Singing of Folk Songs

In the singing of folk songs,there are seven basic issues. The author of this article thinks that such issues require a clear understanding of the related concepts and correlated relations for the success in teaching and singing because they might bring difficulties in teaching and singing and even various throat diseases. Such issues are (1) breath of singing-the foundation of singing folk songs; (2) resonance-the standard of singing folk songs; (3) opening of throat-the key of singing folk songs; (4) correct sounding of words-the core of singing folk songs; (5) singing with the combination of falsetto-the difficult point of singing folk songs; (6) singing with emotions-the purpose of singing folk songs; and (7) singing with correct words and breath-the ultimate phase of singing folk songs.
