Abstract

In this paper, the study on the stability of accumulation landslide in reservoir bank in Three Gorges under the conditions of rainfall and reservoir water level fluctuation has been made. The transient and steady state seepage calculations and stability calculation to the Bailong village landslide in Three Gorges Reservoir bank have been made by using 2-dimensional finite element numerical simulation method. The results show that:there is a lower stable water level(about 159 m) during the water level rising in Bailong village landslide, but the stability increase after that.During the water level drawdown, the stability of landslide is reduced, and with great influence by the rainfall. Thus,we can conclude some preliminary rules on the stability of landslide in reservoir bank.
