Abstract

Objective To study the rule of microscopic examination for increased mononuclear(MO) in blood with the three-classification blood cell analyzer and assure the quality of blood routine examination. Methods The result of MO in 302 patients were determined by the full-automatic blood cell analyzer and microscopic examination of the blood smear. Results When MO result was 8% in the blood analyzer measurement, there was no significant difference in comparison with microscopic examination of the blood smear, the correlativity was good. When MO was 8%, result was different with microscopic examination. The result of MO8.6% showed abnormal cell in microscopic examination. Conclusions It should make the Wrights dye microscopic examination, when the level of MO is over 8% with the blood cell analyzer,in order to prevent leak of abnormal cell such as abnormal lymphocyte, eosinophil, leukemia cell etc.
