Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of root canal preparation conditions on the accuracy of Raypex5. Methods:32 single-canal extracted teeth were collected, root tips of which had growthed completely. The actual canal working length and canal length were measured. We compared the canal working length and the position of apical foramen before root canal preparation, after routine root canal preparation and after root canal excess preparation on Raypex5. The difference in the range of 0~-0.5mm was considered coincide. Results:The accuracy rates were 96.87%,93.75% and 87.50% respectively before root canal preparation, after routine root canal preparation and after root canal excess preparation. They had no significantly difference. Electrical Measurement among three groups had no difference. Conclusion:Root canal preparation does not have significantly effect on the accuracy of Raypex5 in this experimental environment.
