Abstract
The solid superacid SO42- /Fe2O3 was prepared and IR spectrum of sample was determined. The solid superacid SO42- /Fe2O3 was first used in the synthesis of isoamyl acetate. The effects of reaction time, reaction temperature and amount of catalyst, ratio acid and alcohol on the reaction have been examined. Experiments results showed that the yield of isoamyl acetate is 94. 6% in optimum conditions. The solid superacid SO42-/Fe2O3 exhibited higher catalytic activity than sulphuric acid. It is good for environmental protection.
