Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study optimum β-cyclodextrin inclusion process conditions for acyclovir.METHODS The study was carried out using orthogonal design. The process conditions were s tudied by determining the utilization ratio of acyclovir. The inclusion compound was identified by X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). RESULTS The optimum preparation conditions for inclusion were established as follows: ac yclovir:β-cyclodextrin was 1∶6;the inclusion temperature was 60 ℃;the inclusion time was 30 min.The inclusion ratio of acyclovir was 83%. CONCLUSION This optimized process is simple and efficient.
