Abstract

On the conditions of large-scale circulation have no comprehensive indication on rainstorms weather,for local rainstorms during the summer,we should pay attention to the distribution features of the local meteorological elements,and should pay close attention to the echoes evolution of the new generation weather radar.Using Haila'r weather radar,from the aspects of reflectivity factors,combination reflectivity factors,VIL products and radial velocity products,radar echoes characteristics of a local rainstorm weather in Bayankuren Town of Chenqi during 12:50-14:00 on June 30 in 2007 were analyzed,and the radar echoes characteristics of rainstorm weather were summarized.The results showed that there was more than 35 dBz echo intensity for Doppler radar and 45-55 dBz strong echo in echo area continuously,and the intensity echoes were stable and less dynamic for more than 1 h,this was the key reason for the occurrence of rainstorm;radial velocity products occurred in dead wind areas,which was the obvious characteristic of rainstorm weather.The vertical cumulative vertical liquid water content and vertical wind profile products have a certain role in support to the analysis of heavy rainfall.
