Abstract

Aim:To demonstrate the clinical effects of carvedilol on patients with angina pectoris. Methods:A total of 56 patients with angina pectoris were randomly divided into control group (27 patients with angina pectoris took isosorbide dinitrate 10 mg, 3 times per day, and aspirin 75 mg/d) and treatment group (29 patients with angina pectoris took carvedilol 10~40 mg/d besides the same treatment as control group) for 4 weeks .Angina pectoris episode times, ischemia in ECG, cardiac function, and movement ability were recorded. Results: After treatment, 82.76 % patients showed obviously released angina pectoris, decreased blood pressure and heart rate, increased daily maximum movement time and distance, and slightly varied cardiac function .Conclusion: Carvedilol is effective for treatment of angina pectoris.
