Abstract

Without the protection of nitrogen gas,taking N,N-methylene-bisacrylamide as the crosslinking agent,the potassium persulfate as the initiator,the potato starch /acrylic acid /acrylamide superabsorbent polymers was prepared by water solution polymerization method. The best technological conditions were:Monomer allocated proportion(AA:AM) 5:3,crosslinking agent 2.0 mL,initiator 1.0 mL,neutral dagree 95%,reaction temperature 65℃. The resin synthesized under these conditions attracted distilled water 587g·g-1 under the room temperature. The infrared spectrum indicated initially the potato starch and the acrylic acid and the acrylic amide had crossing linking.
