Abstract

Language teaching is in fact the process of culture communication and the ultimate goal of college English teaching is to help students skillfully master the basic language,culture and knowledge of English-speaking countries,and use English appropriately in daily communication.This paper analyzes major factors affecting intercultural communication,proposes basic principles of cultivating intercultural awareness and presents essential methods to improve students’ intercultural competence.
