The Application of Discourse Analysis in English Reading Teaching

Abstract

In the process of teaching English reading,too much focus is put on syntactic structure,namely,the detailed explanation of the usages of words but the structure of the text is always ignored.From the perspective of discourse analysis,this article aims to discuss something about how to cultivate the students' discourse awareness through the discourse analysis teaching and by com-bining with some teaching practice in order to enhance the students' reading ability.
