Abstract

To observe the effects of traditional Chinese medicine Heshouwuyin on the expression of bcl-2 and bax in renal cortex of aging rats.50 female SD rats were applied in this study and randomised into 5 groups:negative control group, aging model group,Heshouwuyin groups(high, middle and low dose group),10 rats per group. The sub-acute aging model rats were made by injecting D-gal into abdom inal cavity continuously.Using SP immunohistochemistry to observe the expression of bcl-2 and bax in renal cortex.Results:1)The expression of bcl-2 in model groups was weaker than that of negative control group(P0.05),the bcl-2 expression was stronger in Heshouwuyin high dose group than that of model group(P0.05).2)The expression of bax in model group was stronger than that of negative control group(P0.05).The expression of bax in Heshouwuyin groups was weaker than that of model group(P0.05).Traditional Chinese medicine Heshouwuyin could increase bcl-2 expression and decrease bax expression in renal cortex of aging rats obviously, and had fairly anti-aging effects.
