The Coverage on Local Public Affairs in Civil Media and the Social Changes in the Late Qing Dynasty

There emerged many civil media with extensive coverage in the interior of China from 1900 to 1911 during the Late Qing Dynasty.The increasing coverage of local news was becoming prevalent and the focus of media was changing from national policies and guiding principles of the Court to everyday life of local communities,and the public affairs were becoming the main contents of these media.The underlying reason for the transformation is the great social change (expansion of public sphere) of the local communities in the Late Qing Dynasty.
