Abstract
Compactibility and optimum compaction state of high liquid-limit clay are analyzed according to indoor experiment,a corresponding construction guidance is put forward to instruct the embankment compaction of this kind of soil.Taking the high liquid-limit clay in Jimei avenue Xiamen as an example,through the systematic analysis of laboratory test and in-situ test,California bearing ratio(CBR) of the clay 3,so it can only be filled in embankment and K94%.For different moisture contents in high liquid-limit clay,a series of CBR laboratory tests are carried out under six combinations of compaction work.On condition of optimum compaction state,with increasing moisture content,compaction work decreases correspondingly.Controlling properly moisture content and compaction work,high liquid-limit clay can be filled in embankment.
