A Discussion about the Ontological Foundation of Marx's Practical Materialism——As a Reply to Mr.Dong Xuewen

In view of several articles in criticizing the philosophical foundation of Practical Ontological Aesthetics by Mr. Dong Xuewen at el.,this paper first discusses the historically targeted and scientific nature of Marx's practical materialism. It makes use of the new reasoning in philosophical circle that to understand the significance of Marx's philosophical revolution via the ontological foundation,argues that the core connotation of Marx's concept of practice is perceptual activities and real-life process. It emphatically elaborates the content and meaning of the ontological thinking of Marx,which is integrated with his view of practice,and comes to conclusion that the foundation of Marx's philosophy is the ontology integrated with the view of practice,rather than the Abstract substantial ontology.
