The Relationship between Jiang Kui's Concept of Poetry and His Creation of Ci Lyrics

Abstract
Jiang Kui, a celebrated lyrics writer in the South Song Dynasty, was skilled in both ci lyrics and poem. Taoist Baishi's Theory of Poertry summarized his experiences of creation of ci lyrics and poem and also reflected his artistic pursuit. The guidance of the theory contributed to his superb artistic achievements in the creation of ci lyrics, and on the other hand, misled him into his limitations. Being aware of Jiang Kui's concept of poetry and the influence of his concept of poetry helps to fully understand the artistic features of Jiang Kui's ci lyrics and his historical status.
