The Relation Between Formal and Informal Finance

Abstract

The definitions of informal finance, formal finance and illegal finance are different. Informal finance, plays the same important role in a country's finical system as formal finance does. The relation between the two are competition, complement and transformation. We should analyze the role of informal finance exactly and dialectically, and provide institutional guarantee and service system for the informal finance so as to make it develop healthily.
