Abstract
ZHAO Shuli and ZHANG Ailing ascended literary circle almost at the same time in 1943,showing the strong vitality ofpopular literature.This paper makes a study of their experiences of popularity through comparing their writing strategies,publications and attitudes towards reactions from different circles.To some extent,they integrate the popular literature into the New Literature of the 1940s.
