Survey of health education status in the basic level hospital

Objective To survey the health education situation in nurses of the basic level hospital. Methods By convenience sampling methods, 180 nurses of a local hospital were investigated. Results The main factors influencing the implementation of health education were busy working, lacking of knowledge and skill of health education. 93.3% of the nurses have well realized the necessity of health education. In the 180 papers, there were 61 doing well (33.9%) and 119 doing poorly (66.1%). There was no remarkably difference about the degree of knowledge of health education in the nurses of different duties. Conclusions The nurse supervisors should pay attention to the professional training in nurses, carry out corresponding continuing education, improve the ability of health education in nurses, and allot manpower logically, to ensure the health education to be carried out successfully.
