Abstract
Objective:To observe the difference in curative effect of treating ischemic stroke with point-through-point acupuncture by stages and modern rehabilitation medicine therapy,in order to explore the effective therapy for the hemiplegia spasticity from ischemic stroke. Methods:Sixty patients with hemiplegia spasticity from ischemic stroke were randomly divided into acupuncture group and rehabilitation group, and with 30 patients in each group.Patients in acupuncture group were treated with point-through-point acupuncture by stages, and patients in rehabilitation group were treated with modern rehabilitation medicine therapy based on the neurology baseline treatment. The degree of nerve function defect score(NDS),Fugl-Meyer assessment score, and the whole medical effect of patients in these two groups were compared after treating for 28 days. Results:The total effective rate of acupuncture group and rehabilitation group was 80% and 70%,respectively,and the difference between the two groups was significant(P0.05).The improvement in NDS and Fugl-Meyer assessment score of patients in acupuncture group was superior to that of rehabilitation group(P0.05).Conclusion:Point-through-point acupuncture by stages is the effective therapy for hemiplegia spasticity from ischemic stroke, and is worth to be popularized and applied.
