Abstract
On the basis of complex giant system theory,the concept,connotation, constitution and harmoniousness of water resources complex giant system(WRCGS) were discussed.Under the framework of WRCGS theory,water resources security was analyzed.It was pointed out that the security level can be reflected by drinking water security,foodstuff security,economy security,ecology security and environment security.A rule-based mode and a metasynthesis method were put forward for the study of water resources security,which provide a basis for further study of an integrated model of water resources management and an evaluation index system and a safeguard system of water resources security.
