Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To analyze the clinical needs for pharmacy service and find out the effective way of clinical pharmacist training. METHODS: By reviewing the history of clinical pharmacy in China, the orientation and responsibility of clinical pharmacists at present were analyzed and evaluated, it also expounded how to progress the program of clinical pharmacist training. RESULTS CONCLUSIONS: Currently, the pharmacist cannot meet the requirement of clinical pharmacy services. Now a nationwide program on clinical pharmacist training has been initiated, in order to progress this training program, pharmacists need to clarify the clinical needs for pharmacy service, analyze the status quo of this field and bring the initiatives and creativity into full play. Only in this way the clinical pharmacist can go ahead successfully with the establishment of clinical pharmacists system.
