Seawater Desalination and Its Application in Power Plants

The paper briefs and analyzes the present application situation in power plants and development trend of multistage flash,multipleeffect distillation and reverse osmosis three kinds of seawater desalination technologies.Combining with the progress of seawater desalination technology in China and the existing problems,the paper puts forward the measures of lowering seawater desalination cost from the waterelectricity cogeneration,broadening scale,raising technical level and comprehensive utilization etc.four aspects.In light of the situation,seawater desalination being faced with,the paper puts forward the suggestions on speeding up the development of seawater desalination industry in China,such as:to bring seawater desalination into national water resources development plan;with seawater desalination as a cause of public welfare,to enjoy the same financial subsidies policy as the traditional water resources construction project etc.
