Abstract

Correlation analysis and path analysis of maize yield and 11 major agronomic characters were made in 17 maize hybrids. The results indicated that shelling percentage, 1000grain weight, kernels per row, ear length showed positive value and more greatly than the others. The results of path analysis indicated that the most directly path coefficients to the yield is from shelling percentage, the following is 1000grain weight, rows per ear and ear length. Therefore the bigger influencing factor to the yield is shelling percentage, 1000grain weight and ear length.
