Abstract
Correlation and path analysis of maize major agronomic characters were made in 103 maize hybrids. The results indicated that ear diameter ,rows per ear,ear weight,ear length,and rows per ear to seeds weight of per plant showed positive and more great correlationship than the others.The results of path analysis indicated that directly path coefficients of those characters to seeds weight of per plant is positive and more greatly than the others.Therefore the biggest influencing factor to seeds weight of per plant lies in charactes of maize spike.Ear weight is a important index to the yield of per maize plant. Meantime, when selecting high grain yield hybrids of maize,we must pay more attention to adjust each character in harmorious way.
