Abstract
Redefinition of kilogram,which is one of the international basic units,has become a new challenge in the field of metrology.The watt balance provides an effective way of realizing the SI mass unit.In this paper,the principle and structure of watt balance are introduced,and current progress on the watt balance in different nations is presented.It is promising to achieve the redefinition of kilogram with the development of relevant technologies.
