Abstract

Objective To compare the effects of Large trauma craniotomy and routine craniotomy in the treatment of severe traumatic head injury. Methods 122 cases with severe traumatic head injury were randomly divided into Large craniectomy group and the conventional Bone flap group,The former group include 62 cases, was large trauma craniotomy,The latter group include 62 cases, was fixed with routine craniectomy.Compare two groups of the postoperative curative effect and intracranial pressure changes and the complication rate. Results The differences between Large craniectomy group and the conventional Bone flap group were not statistically significant in the postoperative curative effect(P 0.05).In intracranial pressure changes,Large craniectomy group has more antihypertensive effect than the conventional Bone flap group, which show statistic difference between two groups(P 0.05).In the complication rate,no statistically significant differences between the two groups. Conclusion Large trauma craniotomy has more apparent antihypertensive effect and the postoperative curative effect than the conventional Bone flap group, which was worthy of clinical use.
