Abstract
Based on normal failure analysis for cylinder block of small type internal-combustion engine,and applying the basic concepts of remanufacture for products design,the major questions which should be considered during designing the cylinder block and basic design technology are given out. Among them,the main questions and design methods for the top surface,the cylinder holes,the main bearing holes and the cam shaft holes of the cylinder block are discussed in detail,the structure forms of technological cover and effects to remanufacture of cylinder block are discussed.
