Abstract
Cyclohexanone glycol ketal was synthesized by using K_2Cr_2O_7 modified coal acitve carbon as catalyst. The optimum conditions were as follows: the molar ratio of cyclohexanone to glycol was 1∶1.5(based on 0.05 mole cyclohexanone),the volume of cyclohexane was 10.0 mL the quantity of catalyst equaled to 2.3% of feed stocks(4.5% based on the mass of cyclohexanone),and the reaction time was 1.0 h.The yield of product was 91.7%.The catalyst showed high activity for the reaction. In addition, the catalyst can be easily obtained and used repeatedly.
