Abstract

A method for determination of trace vanadium in vegetable samples by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry and microwave digestedion is developed. The optimum conditions of digestion of vegetable sample and graphite furnace atomic absorption are experimented.Determination of trace vanadium is satisfied in 5% HNO3 medium,by four-step digestion mode, with HNO3-H2O2 as digestion solution,EDTA as matrix modifier. The detection limit is 0.72 μg/L(3σ),linearity range 0 to 300 μg/L,recovery range 98.4% to 103.8% with relative standard deviations less than 6%(n=5),and relative error of standard sample less than 3%.The method is accurate and convenient.
