Abstract
Objective To explore an effective therapy for obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS)in children.Methods The clinical data of 93 children diagnosed as OSAHS,which underwent tonsillectomy and/or adenoidectomy,was reviewed and analyzed.Results All patients were followed up for 0.5~1 years.No haemorrhage,acute respiratory obstruction,and adenoid residue occurred after operation.The clinical symptoms of all cases improved.There were no or less respiration pause and fewer snores.Conclusion Childhood OSAHS can be effectively treated by tonsillectomy and/or adenoidectomy through oral endoscope.
