Abstract

The cationic modification of cotton fabric and its dyeing conditions were studied by orthogonal experiments and range analyses, the optimum process modification and dyeing conditions were obtained. The former processes were: the concentration of modifier 40g/L,the concentration of NaOH 4g/L,the liquor ratio 20∶1 at 95℃ for 30min;the later conditions were: 60℃ for 60min and pH 7 at a liquor ratio of 30∶1.The results showed that cotton fabric after cationic modification featured higher reactive dye yield, better brilliance and higher dye utilization, meanwhile, the dyeing effluents could be reused without additional treatment, the dyeing quality was as good as that dyed with conventional process.
