Clinical Study on the treatment for tension headache by acupuncture and Chinese massage

Abstract

One hundred and ten cases were invided into three groups:group 1,group 2,and group 3.Group 1 received the treatment of acupuncture combined with Chinese massage,group 2 received only acupuncture and group 3 received only Chinese massage.The number of three groups was 50,30,30 respectively.The cure rate and effective rate of group 1 were 46% and 100% respectively,higher than those of group 2(26.7%,80%) and group 3(23.3%,76.7%),the differences were significant (X2=15.26,P0.05).The results show that the treatment of acupuncture combined with Chinese massage is a good method for tension headache.
