Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical significance of serum CA72-4 determination for diagnosis of breast cancer. Methods Serum level of CA72-4 was measured by ELISA methods in 20 control,33 breast caner patients(no metaptosis)and 35 breast cancer patients with metaptosis. Results Serum level of CA72-4 was not high in 20 controls.17of 33 breast cancer patients(no metaptosis) are positive, and the rate is 51.45%;29 of 35 breast cancer patients with metaptosis are positive, and the rate is 82.85%;There was statistically a significant difference of CA72-4(P0.01) between the controls and the cancer groups,as well between cases with breast cancer patients(no metaptosis) and metaptosis(P0.01).Conclusion Serum CA72-4 determination can be a precaution index of the breast cancer genesis and metaptosis.
