Abstract

The overall goal of this paper is to assess the impacts of the new agricultural policies on China's agricultural production and trade and farm income.The results of analyses show that positive effects of the new agricultural policies to domestic agricultural production and food security and farm income are not as huge as expected due to the low financial intensity,although the social and political effects of the new agricultural policies are over-estimated.The study concludes with several policy implications and suggestions.
