Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinic effect of combined therapy of Chinese and Western Medicines in treating recurrent Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP) and protecting against the Henoch-Schonlein purpura nephritis(HSPN).Methods 90 cases of children patients with allergic purpura were randomly divided into the treating group(combined therapy of Chinese and Western Medicines) and control group;observe the improvement of their clinic symptoms;and also observe the recurrence of HSP,occurrence of HSPN and the change of level of serum IgA,serum C3 for respectively after 1 month,3 months and 6 months. Results After the treatment, both the recurrence of HSP and occurrence of HSPN in treating group was less than that of the control group(P0.01);the level of serum IgA,C3 trend to normal after 1 month’s treatment, and the improvement is better than that of the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Combined therapy of Chinese and Western Medicines could decrease the occurrence of HSP and protecting against the HSPN.
