Abstract

There has been significant experimental investigations into frication stir welding of different materials ever since its invention, but computational modeling efforts to simulate the welding process are more recent. The paper simply introduces three broad categories, which are thermal, material flow field and structure property, in FSW process’ numerical simulation.
