On Study of Confucius Classics

Abstract

GU Yan-wu,a great scholar in the beginning period of Qing Dynasty(1644-1911) assigned the theme that study of Confucius classics was the rationalistic Confucian philosophical school.Thus he developed the textual research of it.During 1730' the research work expanded on large scale and was divorced from then real situation.ZHANG Xue-cheng,a well-known historian and thinker then,submitted the theory of all study of Confucius classics being history and he stressed that to study theory being integrated historical figures and events and he attempted to make a good study of Confucius classics and history.
