Abstract
Objective: To study the changes of bone mineral density (BMD) in female patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods: BMD of calcaneus were determined using single energy X ray absorptiometry in type 2 diabetic female patients and healthy subjects. Results: Compared with the controls,BMD was more likely to decrease in the female patients. Conclusion: Female patients with type 2diabetes were subject to osteoporosis.
