Abstract
In this paper, the self-developed high efficiency, long-distance strand hauling system and the construction techniques for main cable erection are presented. With the hauling system and techniques in question, the erection of the main cable wire strands of the Suspension Bridge of Runyang Bridge is completed with good quality and in a rapid way. The problems like wire twisting and birdcaging that are common in the previous construction of suspension bridges are also satisfactorily resolved in the construction of this Bridge.
