Abstract
The distribution of temperature field in pipeline welding process has important influence to weld quality. In this article, the finite element model is used to simulate 20 steel pipeline butt joint welding process. The welding voltage, the welding speed as well as the heat source effective factor are selected on the simulation under the different welding current to calculate three-dimensional transient temperature field. The temperature cyclic curve of the welding pool and heat-affected zone are obtained simultaneously. The different welding current is input to modify input energy, the best welding current selection range is 720A~800A in the welding. The conclusion has guidance function for the selection of welding process parameter.
