An Empirical Study on Influencing Factors and Regional Differences of Regional Innovation Output——Based on Analyses of Panel Data from 13 Cities at Prefecture-level in Jiangsu Province

Facing the rapid changes of science and technology,increasing resource and environment constraints and competition in the global market,it has become an inevitable trend to promote regional development with innovation. According to the theory of knowledge production function,using the panel data of 13 cities at prefecture-level in Jiangsu Province from the year of 2002 to 2011, the paper builds the econometric model of influencing factors of the innovation output of Jiangsu Province based on the processing method of panel time series. It analyzes the impacts of investment on RD and scientific and technical talents,and FDI on the innovation output of Jiangsu Province. The paper also puts forward some suggestions for Jiangsu Province to further improve regional innovation capabilities.
