Abstract

Objective: To discuss experience in removable partial splint dentures for elderly patients. Method: 89 elderly patients with defect of dentition were treated with three kinds of splint dentures and was followed-up for1-3 years. Result: The satisfaction rate was 93.26%.Healthy periodontal condition accounted for 92.13% of all cases. 98.88% patients had good masticatory function. Conclusion: Splint dentures can restore the function of missing teeth and protect the periodontal tissue and the remained teeth.
