Abstract
Effects of simulated acid rain treatment on the physiological and biochemical characte-ristics of ginkgo were investigated under different pH value((pH2.0、3.0、4.0、5.6).The results showed that the effect of pH≤3.0 simulated acid rain on ginkgo was stronger than that of others;under the stress of simulated acid rain, the activities of catalase(CAT) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) increased sharply at the beginning and then kept steady-going at a high level, the content of malondialdehyde(MDA) increased at the beginning and then decreased, the rate of electrolyte leakage decreased slowly at the late stage of the stress from simulated acid rain.So pH=3.0 was the recessive critical damage point and ginkgo could respond promptly to the long-term acid rain stress, physiological characteristics about some acid-resistant could be obtained through long-term acid rain stress.
