On the Research-Project Sense in Chen Shi-dao's Poetry Creation

This paper discusses the background, content, influence and significance of Chen Shi-dao's research-project sense in his poetry creation. It argues that in poetry writing Chen Shi-dao regarded literary creation as his lifetime career, and by substituting the vagueness with elegance, he pursued an elegant style in his poetry. It also argues that Chen Shi-dao's project sense in poetry writing is the combination of his personality and the creation of poetry writing style of poets in Yuanyou period of North Song Dynasty. His research-project sense had some influences on the later poets in terms of theoretical ideas, poetry writing and achievements. The study of the research-project sense is of great significance on the study of Jiangxi Poetry School nad Song Dynasty's poetry creation.
